Taylor Swift temporarily shifted her focus from promoting her successful film to witness Travis Kelce’s standout performance of the season. The Kansas City Chiefs secured a 19-8 victory against the visiting Denver Broncos on Thursday night.
The Chiefs improved their season record to 5-1, maintaining an undefeated 3-0 record with the pop megastar’s presence at Arrowhead Stadium.

Swift spent the evening in a luxurious suite, sharing it with Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce. She was seen wearing a black tank top beneath a red Chiefs jacket from Erin Andrews’ sports collection. During the game, she witnessed Kelce’s remarkable achievement, with him amassing 124 receiving yards. This was particularly impressive considering his recent injury in Minneapolis, which had cast doubt on his availability for the match.
Kelce added a touch of showmanship to the game by unexpectedly lateraling the ball to fellow tight end Noah after catching a 5-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes. This move resulted in an additional 7 yards and eventually led to a Chiefs field goal. Swift’s presence at Arrowhead Stadium followed her appearances on September 24 when the Chiefs hosted the Chicago Bears and on October 1 during the “Sunday Night Football” game against the New York Jets in New Jersey, attracting many of her fans, known as “Swifties,” to football for the first time.
She had previously graced the Arrowhead field on July 7-8, performing two concerts in the Show Me state. At one of these shows, Kelce infamously failed to give Swift a friendship bracelet.
On Thursday, the roles were reversed, with Swift enthusiastically cheering for Kelce. Following a 19-yard pass from Mahomes that set up Kansas City’s first touchdown, Swift stood, cheered, and shared an exuberant hug with Brittany Mahomes, the quarterback’s wife.
In a post-game interview on Amazon Prime Video, Patrick Mahomes was not questioned about Kelce and Swift. However, the analyst and former Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez humorously presented him with a Swift-style friendship bracelet bearing the moniker “TrayTay,” much to the amusement of the panel.
Although rumors have circulated about Swift and Kelce’s romantic involvement, their official relationship status remains a mystery.
Donna Kelce, the mother of both Travis and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, has remained tight-lipped on the topic. When asked about their relationship last week, she responded, “I honestly can’t tell you. It’s just too new.”
Swift’s movie, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” is poised to become the most successful concert film in box office history. On Wednesday, she attended the Los Angeles premiere, joined by co-reigning music queen Beyoncé.
Swift’s presence in Kansas City is anticipated to boost “Thursday Night Football” and its platform, Amazon Prime Video, as her fans who couldn’t attend the movie premiere have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the “You Belong With Me” singer on the gridiron.
