On Tuesday, a Japan Airlines aircraft experienced a fire incident upon landing at Haneda Airport.

The flight, identified as JL516, had traveled from Chitose, Hokkaido, and there are preliminary indications that it may have collided with a Japan Coast Guard plane during the landing, as reported by Japanese broadcaster NHK.

The landing occurred at approximately 5:47 p.m. local time, with 367 passengers and 12 crew members on board, according to NHK. All 379 individuals have reportedly safely disembarked from the plane, as confirmed by the airline.

Live footage from the international hub on the outskirts of Tokyo depicted firefighters combatting the flames engulfing the fuselage. The aircraft involved was an Airbus A350, according to information from flight tracker FlightAware.
