World Mental Health Day, October 10th, promotes mental health awareness and support for those facing issues, fostering understanding and action.

Mental health is just as important as physical health. It affects our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors

.  Depression .  Anxiety .  Bipolar disorder .  Schizophrenia .  Post-traumatic stress disorder       (PTSD)

– Feeling sad, down, or hopeless for    more than two weeks.  – Feeling anxious or worried most of    the time . Having trouble sleeping or     concentrating. –  Having changes in appetite or weight.  .  Withdrawing from social activities. .  Having thoughts of death or suicide  

Here are some tips for supporting others with mental health problems:

– Be a good listener . Offer support and encouragement .Help them connect with resources – Challenge stigma and discrimination  

The 2023 World Mental Health Day theme is "Mental health is a universal human right," emphasizing the need for accessible and affordable mental health care for all.
